Welcome Mira Garner and Geoff Legault to the lab! Both will be working on winegrapes and climate change and we’re thrilled to have them join us.
We’re less than one month into a new term and almost halfway through Statistical Rethinking!
Lizzie gave an interview for a NatGeo piece and is now on the record saying “It’s unfortunate that we don’t have a cycling race in the summer where the Iditarod is held.”
The lab has moved! Lizzie joined the Department of Forest & Conservation Sciences at UBC as of 1 January. She is looking forward to seeing Ailene, Cat, Dan and Nacho, who will visit in March.
Summer rushed by and now fall term is here, new Bayesian stats course to teach and many new experiments to run. The lab is excited to welcome Isabelle Chuine for her sabbatical!
Happy July! The common garden is doing amazing, Lizzie and Nacho are back from INRA and veraison is starting out west. It’s a busy summer! Updates to come.
